Drawing comparisons to The Roots, Jamiroquai and Janelle Monae, the band has regularly shared the stage with major international artists including Lettuce, soul legend Lee Fields, Five Alarm Funk, Naturally 7, DJ Q-Bert, Z-Trip and Blue King Brown. The recent tour gave the band an opportunity to show new fans across North America why TD Toronto Jazz Festival Artistic Director, Josh Grossman, calls KCLR “scary good…a blast to hear and just as fun to watch.”
With five albums under their belt, KCLR’s high-energy studio sound undoubtedly captures the buzz created by their live performances. Their latest album, From the North, is part one of a 17-song project recorded live in front of a four-person camera crew. By early 2016, each song on From the North will have its own music video, telling the song’s story through unique art pieces. To date, videos for Hamilton Hustle, Tribe Beneath the Storm and Diamond on The Dancefloor are already generating fan excitement online.

Check out what EXCALIM! as to say in a recent article: exclaim.ca/music/article/kayko-whos_loving_you
«Toronto electro-pop unit KAYKO are set to unveil a brand new single by the name of „Who's Loving You,“ and Exclaim! is giving you the exclusive first spin.
The five-piece band mixes synths, horns, bass, drums and „Prince-style“ guitars into an infectious blend of electrically charged, funk-infused pop music, and tops it all off with some pristinely polished vocals.
They're currently completing their debut EP, which will arrive later this fall. In the meantime, though, „Who's Loving You“ serves as an upbeat, energetic introductory offering from the group.
