This practice begins with approximately 15 minutes of exploring Surya Namaskara A as moving meditation, giving us time to connect our breath to movement, and ourselves to our practice and space. Our movement will be slow and mindful, with an end goal of calming our breath, bodies, and minds in preparation for our yin practice.
As we move forward, you will be encouraged to be the architect of your yin practice. Target areas will be introduced and discussed by Tamara, after which you will be encouraged to select a pose that best serves you and your body. Your practice will be supported with adjustments, props, and weights. If you draw a blank selecting a pose, no worries! Tamara will help you choose and get settled.
Poses will be held anywhere from 5 — 15 minutes, depend on our target areas.
Yin students with an existing practice and some knowledge of the various yin poses. This practice would not be suitable for beginners.
