Calling all feminists and music fans!
The Ottawa Coalition to End Violence Against Women (OCTEVAW) will be hosting a Feminist Lip Sync Battle on November 15th in honour of Woman Abuse Prevention Month and #WearPurpleDay. The event will be MCed by Adrian Harewood of CBC News and Rosella Chibambo of OCTEVAW. The lovely feminist judges will be City Councillor Catherine McKenney, CEO & Founder of Not In My Colour & Co-host of Bad + Bitchy podcast Erica Ifill, & Laure Prevost of OCTEVAW's Board of Directors.
There will be performances by:
-Everyday Girl Dad
-Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre
-Ottawa Victim Services
-OCTEVAW's Public Engagement Committee
Come on out to the Heart & Crown at 353 Preston St. to support the fight against Woman Abuse and enjoy an evening of laughter, fun music, and feminism! Purple clothing and accessories are highly encouraged!
The event will be a fundraiser for OCTEVAW.
Doors open at 7:00, and the event begins at 7:30.
