On Sunday December 10, sharpen your skates and book your passes for the coolest skating party of the year under the backdrop of Parliament Hill!
Canada 150 Skating Day opening ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. with a performance by the Minto Skating Club. At 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., there will be performances by the Goulbourn Special Olympics Skating Club and the Asticou Figure Skating Club, respectively. Public skating will be open throughout the day until 10 p.m.
To help make the Canada 150 rink accessible to as many Canadians as possible, skating passes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at 12 p.m. EST on December 8.
You don’t have to skate to participate! Many other FREE activities will be taking place off the rink. Enjoy a Northern food tasting event with top Canadian and Indigenous chefs, take a selfie with the Canadian Museum of Nature Polar Bears or enjoy the soulful beats of DJ Rise Ashen and Theland Kicknosway.
Rogers Communications is the official sponsor of Canada 150 Skating Day across Canada.
Thank you to Tim Hortons for the generous contribution to Canada 150 Skating Day.
