ADDITIONAL EVENT INFORMATION
Algonquin College’s Practical Nursing class of 2016-2018 will be conducting their pinning ceremony at the Algonquin Commons Theatre this June. For those of you who are not familiar with the concept, a pinning ceremony is a symbolic way of welcoming newly graduated nurses into the nursing profession. This ceremony is similar to a college graduation event, but instead of handing out diplomas, nursing pins are distributed to the graduates. Traditionally, a faculty member of the nursing program (RPN or RN) distributes these pins to the graduates, although graduates may invite anyone (i.e. family, friend, colleague, etc.) to pin them on stage during this event.
